Account Executive — Managed Services 

Greenville County & SC Upstate  •  Full-Time  •  Field-Based (~80%)  •  Reports to Director of Sales 

About the Role 

ANC Group has spent 25+ years earning the trust of small and mid-sized businesses, school districts, and government organizations across the Carolinas. We’re growing — and we’re looking for an Account Executive who wants to grow with us. 


This is a managed service–focused outside sales role based in Greenville County with a primary territory covering the SC Upstate. You’ll build a client base of small and mid-sized businesses — manufacturers, professional services firms, healthcare practices, and more — owning relationships from first conversation to signed Managed Services Agreement. As ANC grows, so does the opportunity: this territory has room to expand, and the person who builds it well will have a hand in shaping what comes next. 


You’ll have a mix of inbound leads from ANC’s marketing and referral channels alongside the prospects you develop yourself. And you won’t be doing this alone — a dedicated Inside Sales partner handles quoting, BOM building, and CRM upkeep so you can stay in front of clients, where you’re most valuable. 

What Success Looks Like 

After your ramp period, a successful AE at ANC is: 

  • Consistently closing new Managed Services Agreements and growing your book of Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) 

  • Working toward and then exceeding a quota set collaboratively with your manager based on your territory and ramp timeline 

  • Building a territory of engaged prospects through drop-ins, calls, meetings, referrals, & events 

  • Deepening relationships with existing accounts through regular business reviews 

  • Representing ANC as a knowledgeable, trusted advisor — not just a vendor 

What You’ll Do 

Build Your Territory 

  • Own a primary territory covering Greenville County and the SC Upstate, with room to expand as you grow your book and as ANC expands its footprint 

  • Target SMB clients across key Upstate verticals: manufacturing, professional services, healthcare, and commercial real estate 

  • Work a blend of ANC-provided leads and self-sourced prospects — you’ll have a running start and the tools to build beyond it 

  • Reach new clients through cold calls, drop-ins, referrals, trade shows, local events, and social media outreach 

  • Travel daily within your territory; occasional overnight stays for events in SC, NC, and GA 

 

Win and Grow Accounts 

  • Lead consultative discovery conversations with SMB owners, IT leads, and operations stakeholders 

  • Position ANC’s Managed Services Program (MSP) clearly and compellingly — focused on business outcomes, not spec sheets 

  • Collaborate with Inside Sales to build accurate proposals and advance opportunities efficiently 

  • Conduct regular business reviews with existing clients to expand relationships and uncover new needs 

  • Occasionally participate in facility walkthroughs to evaluate technical environments firsthand 

Stay Connected and Informed 

  • Document all sales activity and opportunities in CRM accurately and consistently 

  • Participate in weekly team calls, vendor trainings, and coaching sessions (camera on) 

  • Pursue and maintain vendor sales certifications as part of your ongoing development 

  • Attend trade shows and industry events to build the ANC brand and your own network

  • Is curious about technology — you don’t need to be an engineer, but you want to understand what you’re selling 

  • Holds themselves accountable to quotas and other targets— you track your own numbers and know what drives them 

  • Is coachable — you’re confident in your abilities but will ask questions and be open to feedback 

  • Thrives in the field — in-person relationships are where you do your best work 

 

Qualifications 

Required 

  • 2+ years of outside or field sales experience with a proven track record of hitting quota 

  • Strong consultative selling skills — comfortable leading discovery and presenting solutions 

  • Excellent communication skills in person, on video, and in writing 

  • CRM discipline — you document your pipeline and work your follow-up system 

  • Reliable transportation and comfort with daily regional travel 

 


Strongly Preferred 

  • Experience selling managed IT services, cybersecurity, or technology solutions to SMBs 

  • Familiarity with the MSP or IT channel landscape 

  • Experience with Autotask, or similar CRM/PSA platforms 

  • Existing relationships in the Greenville/Upstate SC business community 

  • Active involvement in local business organizations (Greenville Chamber, NEXT, GACC, industry associations, etc.) 

Compensation & Growth 

We structure compensation to reward the people who drive real results: 

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience 50-60K Base – OTE 100-120K 

  • Commission on new Managed Services MRR — paid on contracts closed 

  • Residual earning potential as your book of business grows month over month 

  • Quota is established collaboratively - with targets that stretch you without setting you up to fail

Work Environment 

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional evenings or overnight travel for events 

  • Field-based role — when you’re not in front of clients, administrative work is conducted from ANC’s headquarters just outside downtown Greenville 

  • Microsoft Teams is our primary internal communication platform — staying connected during business hours is expected 

  • Virtual meetings default to camera-on; dress as you would for an in-person client visit 

  • Occasional facility walkthroughs may involve climbing ladders up to 10 ft and working in non-climate-controlled environments
